In the event of a life threatening medical condition, the EMS responder will determine if a helicopter evacuation is needed.  Only an EMS responder can request a helicopter evacuation.  Our local area is serviced by Air Methods which has a contract with Prisma Health System.  AirMedCare is a network and provides services throughout the US.  Their service requires a subscription as a member.
